Instances and Connectors: Issues for a Second Generation Process Language
نویسندگان
چکیده
Over the past decade a variety of process languages have been de ned, used and evaluated. It is now possible to consider second generation languages based on this experience [1, 3, 4]. Rather than develop a second generation wish list this position paper explores two issues: instances and connectors. Instances relate to the relationship between a process model as a description and the, possibly multiple, enacting instances which are created from it. Connectors refers to the issue of concurrency control and achieving a higher level of abstraction in how parts of a model interact. We believe that these issues are key to developing systems which can e ectively support business processes, and that they have not received su cient attention within the process modelling community. Through exploring these issues we also illustrate our approach to designing a second generation process language.

متن کاملBook Review: "Learning Strategy Instruction in the Language Classroom: Issues and Implementation"
Language learning strategies, “the techniques or devices which a learner may use to acquire knowledge” (Rubin, 1975, p. 43) or more pertinently “complex, dynamic thoughts and actions, selected and used by learners with some degree of consciousness in specific contexts” (Oxford, 2017, p. 48), have been widely researched and discussed for more than forty years since the mid-1970s. Shifting the fo...
متن کاملReoService: Coordination Modeling Tool
Coordination in SOA addresses dynamic topologies of interactions among services. Most efforts up to now have been focused on statically defined composition of services, e.g., using BPEL. To the best of our knowledge, there are no serious means to address the issues of dynamic coordination to accommodate continuously changing requirements. While BPEL is a powerful standard for service compositio...
متن کاملBedside Teaching in Undergraduate Medical Education: Issues, Strategies, and New Models for Better Preparation of New Generation Doctors
Bedside teaching is a vital component of medical education. It is applicable to any situation where teaching is imparted in the presence of patients. In teaching in the patients’ presence, learners have the opportunities to use all of their senses and learn the humanistic aspect of medicine such as role modeling, which is vital but difficult to communicate in words. Unfortunately, bedside teach...
